Sunrise Story on Kirkplace and RICE

On Sunday, 18 December 2011 Channel 7’s Weekend Sunrise aired a story about Kirkplace Presbyterian Church, Kogarah and the RICE movement (www.ricemovement.org)

At Kirkplace we are a church gripped by God’s love for us in Jesus. We seek to be a Christ-centred church where the love of God overflows, as we revel in His Son, Jesus, delight in each other and flood the world with God’s love.

We are a community with people from all backgrounds, cultures and generations.

Steve Chong, the lead pastor of Kirkplace, says, “In a world where people are searching for relationship, where loneliness and depression are on the rise, we believe that real, lasting and meaningful relationship is found in Jesus. We want to be a church that celebrates this and shares the love of Jesus with each other.”

This time of year is an important one for us as we remember the birth of God’s son, Jesus, who died for us, rose and will one day return to renew all things.

Kirkplace would love everyone to join us to celebrate Christmas at Kirkplace at 12-16 Derby St, Kogarah 2217 on Christmas Eve at 8.00 pm and Christmas Day at 9.00 am. We would also welcome anyone who would like to join us during our regular Sunday meetings at 9.30 am.

Our pastor, Steve Chong, would love to talk to you more about what we, but more importantly Jesus, is on about.
